AMBERIAN DAWN: Footage From The Studio Posted Online
January 21, 2010Finnish female-fronted symphonic metallers AMBERIAN DAWN entered the studio on November 23, 2009 in Hyvinkää, Finland to begin recording its new album for a spring 2010 release.
The first in a series of video clips documenting the making of the new CD can be viewed below.
According to the band, "The new album is going to be more diverse, faster and darker than our previous albums. The fastest AMBERIAN DAWN songs to date contrast some extremely slow and heavy songs. There's even going to be a classical music piece. Some guest stars are going to featured on this album."
AMBERIAN DAWN last year completed a European tour as the support band for EPICA. Also appearing on the bill was SONS OF SEASONS, the new progressive/symphonic metal band led by keyboardist/guitarist Oliver Palotai (KAMELOT, DORO).
AMBERIAN DAWN's second album, "The Clouds of Northland Thunder" was released in Europe on June 29, 2009 via Ascendance Records.
AMBERIAN DAWN guitarist Tuomas Seppälä, who has played the keyboards in the studio on the band's albums, in 2009 became the group's full-time keyboardist. The new AMBERIAN DAWN axeman is Emil Pohjalainen, who is described as "a talented shredder from Finland."
